Welcome to Estepona Microcement.
Microcement bathrooms.
What are the benefits of having microcement in your bathroom instead of tiles?
Over the past 20 years we have ripped out hundreds of bathrooms with most of them suffering from blown tiles with damp and water ingress problems. A tiny crack in a grout line that you cannot see or a spilt in a silicone joint and you would never know there is water slowly creeping in behind the tiles and then behind walls and floors causing all sorts of problems, plus old grout joints are a haven for germs and bacteria's.
Microcement is not only 100% waterproof, it has no joins or grout lines meaning it doesn't just look amazing, its extremely hygienic and easy to clean.

What is Microcement
Microcement is a very fine coating of cement, combined with fine aggregates, quartz powders and mixed with a polymer resin. Its applied in 4 thin layers comprising of 2 base coats and 2 top coats. The final finish is only 3-4mm thick, super strong, highly flexible and completely seamless, no joins or grout lines in sight!
Microcement can be applied straight over existing tiles, ceramics, concretes, plasterboards and wood, saving on time, mess and dust. If your bathroom walls and floors are sound, we can coat straight over the top of them.
Humidity and Light.
One of the biggest issues we have found here is Spain and a common gripe from our customers is the high levels of humidity, especially in bathrooms.
Microcement has a natural resistance to humidity plus also enhances natural daylight and the feeling of space. That's a win win!
Microcement versus tiles conclusion.
Tiles are only as good as the grout and silicone joints protecting them plus the quality of the adhesive and primer behind them. They are prone to movement, cracks, dirty and cracked joints, unhygienic silicone corners plus a big chance of water and moisture damage behind them.
Microcement is 100% waterproof, the wall or floor is completely seamless with no joints, meaning no water ingress or water damage. Easy to clean and extremely hygienic. Natural resistance to humidity and enhances natural daylight.
Can be applied without having to remove the existing bathroom. Super strong and highly flexible.
